Advantages:

The JCB 3CX SS, 1986 is capable of SideShift or CenterMount in order to maneuver tighter spaces when on the job. This can increase productivity by allowing operators to efficiently dig 4750mm, reach 6.710mm, and load to a height of 4180 mm. Additionally, regardless of job requirements the bucket width can be adjusted between 300mm and 950mm. The dipper and bucket breakouts of 2681 kgf and 4763 kgf respectively offer ample power to power through even the toughest digging tasks.

The model is powered by a Perkins 4.236 engine which delivers 53 kW of power at 2200 rpm, giving the loader plenty of power to help it move. Its SAE dig depth and reach of 4750mm and 6710mm respectively, as well as its loading height of 4180mm, all show that the JCB 3CX SS, 1986 is quite a capable machine when it comes to productivity. Additionally, its gear pump with a flow of 123 lit/min and its relief valve pressure of 207 bar make sure the hydraulic system is capable of powering even the toughest tasks.

The transmission system with 44 speeds and a top speed of 34km/h make it a fast and responsive machine, while the 6150mm travel length, 3560mm travel height, and 2240mm width allow the machine to maneuver in tight spaces. Additionally, its double wheel drive system ensure lots of traction when shifting between surfaces.

Disadvantages:

The JCB 3CX SS 1986 is unfortunately not a highly advanced machine. It lacks ride control and the engine displacement and number of cylinders are not stated, making it hard to compare the engine’s with other models. Additionally, its turn circle radius without brakes is merely 6050mm, which is smaller than the other loaders in its size range. Furthermore, the weight of 5837 kg is relatively high, making the machine hard to maneuver in difficult terrain.

In addition, there are no additional features aimed at user comfort, such as Bluetooth connectivity, audio controls and auxiliary ports. This makes it difficult for the operator to stay focused and productive during long jobs. Moreover, its maximum loader bucket capacity of 0.9 m3 is smaller than the competing loaders in its size range, making it less than ideal for heavy-duty loading jobs.

All in all, the JCB 3CX SS 1986 technical specifications offer users a reliable and efficient loader for most jobs. While it does not have additional features for user comfort, its SideShift or CentreMount feature and its powerful engine help it get even the toughest jobs done. However, its relatively small turning circle, lack of ride control, and low capacity loading bucket make it a less than ideal choice for some tasks.
