Advantages
SideShift or CenterMount SS: The SideShift or CenterMount SS feature of the MF Industrial MF865 model offers the user the ability to shift the excavator from the center to one side, making it more effective and accurate when accessing objects in tight, narrow places. This feature is especially useful for tasks such as installing a pipeline in a steep incline or in a small trench.
SAE dig depth (mm): The MF Industrial MF865 model offers a SAE dig depth of 4460mm, providing the user with deep excavation capabilities allowing them to reach further beneath the surface and access objects with greater precision. An example of this would be construction companies performing excavation work on large-scale bridge projects, as they need to be able to access and work on solid foundations at great depths.
Bucket breakout (kgf): This model offers a bucket breakout of 5260kgf, allowing the user to undertake more heavy-duty excavation and transport tasks. This is important for a variety of operations such as mining, civil engineering, road construction and demolition in which the excavation of large objects and heavy materials is necessary.
Engine Make and Model: The MF Industrial MF865 model is powered by a Perkins 1004.4 TLR2 engine, which is a reliable and efficient engine design. This engine produces 67kW of power at 2200rpm, providing enough power for tasks such as transporting heavy loads, trench digging and backfilling.
Drive: 4WD models provide the user with superior maneuverability compared to wheels, skid or track machines and makes them more suitable for tasks that require traversing rough, uneven terrain such as quarry sites and forestry operations.
Disadvantages
Loading height (mm): With a loading height of 3562mm, the MF Industrial MF865 may be too tall to access certain areas or get under low structures such as homes or bridges, thus limiting its versatility.
Engine displacement (lit): While the engine provides a reliable performance, its 4-liter displacement may not be sufficient for certain heavy-duty tasks such as demolition work and certain construction jobs.
Pump flow (lit/min): The pump flow rate of the MF Industrial MF865 is 130 lit/min. This may not be adequate for certain applications such as building construction as more flow is often needed for lifting and lifting heavy objects.
Relief valve pressure (bar): With a relief valve pressure of only 225 bar, the MF Industrial MF865 may not be the best option for tasks that require the excavator to lift and transport heavy objects. This is because higher relief valve pressures can provide increased lifting capabilities and support these types of operations.
Turn circle radius without brakes (mm): With a turn circle radius of 8340mm, the excavator may struggle to make tight turns. This could be disadvantageous for certain tasks, such as maneuvering around obstacles in tight urban spaces.
